Shelter from the Storm

Every April, supporters, friends and our partners Winners, HomeSense and Rogers Media join together to raise funds to helps fund community programs that help women rebuild their lives after abuse; that teach young people about healthy relationships; and that counsel children who have witnessed violence, to help them heal and prevent them from becoming victims or abusers themselves.

Shelter from the Storm also supports more than 450 shelters for abused women and their children, across Canada to ensure they are there when needed.

This year, you can support by shopping at Winners and Homesense, making a donation or by participating in our national Empower Hour, a one hour workout lead by GoodLife Fitness that asks participants to challenge themselves in support of women and children facing the biggest challenge of their lives – rebuilding their lives after abuse.
