The Canadian Women’s Foundation Leadership Institute

Strong leaders build strong organizations and communities. Together, they create positive change for women across Canada.

This philosophy inspired the Canadian Women’s Foundation to establish a national women’s leadership institute in partnership with the Coady Institute at St. Francis Xavier University.

Launched in June 2012, this three-year pilot institute has built the leadership capacity of emerging and mid-career women leaders working on community economic development (CED) issues across the country. The Alumni Directory and the Leading for Change report illustrate the impact of the pilot program on its participants, their organizations and communities.
