Anna was so shy, she found it impossible to make friends.
Then a local girls’ organization started a new program at her school.
Anna saw that this program was different—it was just for girls. That meant they could play sports or learn about things like computer programming without worrying what boys would think.
As she worked and played with the other girls, she realized she felt comfortable. She liked being around them. Almost without realizing it, she was making new friends.
Over time, Anna’s confidence grew so much that her mother now describes her as “fearless.”
In the program, she also learned how to create goals for the future, and is thinking about becoming an architect.
Investing in the power of women and the dreams of girls.
