The goal of Les Scientifines is to break the cycle of poverty and keep girls in school by fostering their interest and competence in science. Expo-sciences encourages curiosity and perseverance, and will train girls in research skills, problem solving and the scientific method. Throughout the school year, girls will get together once a week, after school, and work in teams with adult facilitators to develop their own projects for entry in a community science fair.
