The Canadian Women's Foundation Toronto Breakfast is an inspiring, eye-opening, sell-out event! Past breakfasts have featured notable speakers such as Gloria Steinem, Maysoon Zayid, Sally Armstrong, Geena Davis, and Ashley Judd.
Funds raised at the events will be invested in our work to help women and girls move out of violence, out of poverty, and into confidence and leadership. Your purchase will help create GEN1—the first generation to experience gender equality in Canada!
ABOUT MICHAEL KIMMEL
Michael Kimmel is the SUNY Distinguished Professor of Sociology and Gender Studies at Stony Brook University and the author of more than 20 books, including Manhood in America, Angry White Men, The Politics of Manhood, The Gendered Society, and the best seller Guyland: The Perilous World Where Boys Become Men. In 2013, he founded the Center for the Study of Men and Masculinities at Stony Brook with funding from the MacArthur Foundation; Jane Fonda, Gloria Steinem, and Eve Ensler are on the Board of Directors. In 2017, the Center will start offering a master’s degree in masculinity studies, the first in the world.
